The inaugural Merri Mashers Brew Trivia night took place last Friday at the Terminus Hotel and was it ever a blast!  Hot dogs, chips, chicken wings, Pacific Ale, Sunset Ale and Seven Seeds Porter kept everyone fueled for an evening of brainpower and debauchery.

A total of six teams contested the night with thirty-two total participants buying tickets.  The club saw a healthy mix of Merri Mashers, Worthogs, brewers from Thunder Road and some non-affiliated punters battle it out for top place. 

In the end the winning team turned out to be Minging Mercaptan - a mixture of Worthogs and Merri Mashers - by a single point!  It was close, hard-fought and merry in every way.  Minging Mercaptan walked away with $250 to spend at the excellent Gertrude Hotel.

Second place won a $100 drinks voucher for the Terminus Hotel and a number of raffle prizes went out on the night, from T-shirts, six-packs of IPA, Pale Ale, Saison and Pilsner from Hawkers Beer, to hops, yeast and vouchers from Full Pint Premium Brew Supplies.

Special mention goes to Ashton Walker, a Merri Masher who at the ripe age of 25 managed to drink five other seasoned brewers under the table to win his team Make It Grain a substantial three points - which they sorely needed!
