DESCRIPTION:VicBrew is the biggest homebrew competition of the year. It attracts more entries than any other competition\, covers every beer style imaginable\, and features two full days of judging. It’s always an epic event. \n\n\n\nCheck out the VicBrew website for entry details\, but the Mashers strongly encourage members to get involved. Enter a beer to receive valuable feedback from experienced judges\, volunteer as a judge or steward\, or simply come along to the Belgian Beer Café at Southbank to enjoy a few beers and cheer on the place-getters. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re competing\, volunteering\, or just supporting from the sidelines\, VicBrew is one of the highlights of the brewing calendar.

SUMMARY:Oktoberfest @ Tallboy & Moose
DESCRIPTION:Tallboy has been running its annual Oktoberfest celebration for many years\, and the Mashers have been serving our own beers there for almost as long. \n\n\n\nIt’s a fantastic event packed with great German-style beer\, lederhosen\, pretzels\, live music\, competitions\, and plenty of good times. It’s not one to miss. \n\n\n\nAs always\, a select group of Mashers will be brewing beers for the event. It’s a rare privilege for home brewers to serve their creations to the general public\, and it’s a great opportunity to showcase both their brewing skills and the club. \n\n\n\nGrab some friends and head down to Tallboy to support the Mashers who brewed for the event\, enjoy some outstanding beer\, and celebrate German culture in style.

DESCRIPTION:Intro \n\n\n\nWhile we had plenty of memorable meetings at the old Future Mountain\, we haven’t had a meeting at Steam Jacket yet. Well in September we’re going to remedy this. It’s a great venue right on the tram line \n\n\n\nTheme\n\n\n\nI’m writing this in March. Maybe check back closer to the date. This is more of a place holder \n\n\n\nContent\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFood\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHomebrew\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOther\n\n\n\nAs with all club meetings please support the venue by ordering their beers at the start of the night (if you can). \n\n\n\nWe will kick off announcements at roughly 7:15pm. The committee will give everyone a 5 minute warning so you have time to get another beer from the bar. \n\n\n\nLater\, AFTER the club updates\, it’s HIGHLY encouraged to share any homebrew you’ve brought. Sharing your creations is not only a tops thing to do but it’s a great way to get constructive feedback to improve your brewing. \n\n\n\nFinally\, if you’ve been stalking us on Facebook but aren’t a member yet you’re more than welcome to attend and see what we’re about. We’re an inclusive club and love newbies of all experience levels.

From subtle tweaks to bold reimaginings\, each brewer has put their own spin on the recipe. \n\n\n\nOn the day\, these beers will be served to the public\, who will vote to crown their favourite recreation of Matriarch IPA. \n\n\n\nCome along\, sample the beers\, celebrate Matriarch Day\, and support the Mashers who have brewed especially for this event.
